When Joseph came to Egypt he was sold as a slave to Potiphar, Pharaoh’s administrator. Everything Joseph did had blessing and Potiphar saw this, but there was a problem, Potiphar’s wife wanted to seduce Joseph. He was able to run away from her giving him the title of Joseph Ha Tzadik for being righteous and not having relations with a married woman.
He ended up in jail for many years and eventually he became the Viceroy of Egypt saving the whole world from famine.
How could he survive healthy minded from all these trials and tribulations? There is only one answer, he knew that everything came from G-d and He had a plan for him. He didn’t fight it, he didn’t struggle, he didn’t complain. He just went along with the plan with optimism and strength, lighting the way for everyone he encountered giving chizuk (strength) and an open ear and heart to those in need.
