Today we count the 44th day of the Omer with “Gevurah shebe Malchut”(Discipline within Kingship).
These duo helps us understand that everything that happens in the world comes from G-d and G-d alone. This is why Jews have a blessing for when good things happen and a blessing for when sad things happen. Everything that occurs is for a reason, nothing is random. This stumbling blocks that are put in our way, in reality are wake up calls and opportunities for growth. They allow a person to examine which areas of their lives need to improve. It is much easier to blame someone else or a life situation on our failings, but in reality we are responsible and accountable for our actions. We cannot choose our life situations, but we can choose how we are going to live them. “Either life makes us bitter or better,” the choice is ours to take”Gevurah shebe Malchut,” helps us recognize that G-d is a just G-d, and that although sometimes life can become very hard to deal with, the Malchut aspect helps us realize that G-d is not an angry G-d or a revengeful G-d. G-d is a kind and merciful G-d, who sometimes needs to give us tough love so we can become the best version of ourselves.
At the same time, we should never ask to be tested and we should always pray to G-d for good and revealed blessings and that we should see and be aware of our faults so we can correct them without needing to go through hardship and suffering. #countingoftheomer #blessingsindisguise
