Today we count the 30th …

By June 7, 2019 No Comments

Today we count the 30th day of the Omer with “Gevurah shebe Hod” (Discipline within Humility).
This week “Hod” is the ruling sefira (attribute), in which we celebrated “Pesach Sheini”, will celebrate Lag Baomer on Wednesday night an Thursday, and we read Parashah Behar. These three events have one thing in common and it’s that all three deal with the importance of being humble in our lives.
Humility is the ultimate acknowledgement that G-d is the only reality.
The combination of discipline within humility gives us the strength to be able to abstain ourselves from saying or doing something negative that could harm someone else.
The strength comes from the Hod aspect which allows us to recognize that G-d is behind the scenes. If we have the urge to say something negative, it is a test from above. We just need to stop for one second and trace this need, and you will see how suddenly it disappears.
Within the test is the key to earn our merits which H”S wants so badly to give us.
Remember before you say something THINK: T-is it true? H-is it helpful? I- is it inspiring? N- is it needed? K- is it kind?
