Today we count the 26th day of the Omer with “Hod shebe Netzach” (Humility within Endurance).
True humility is to acknowledge our G-d given qualities and makeup. It is the ability to recognize that we are who we are because H”S made us like that, and everyone in this world was created in the image of G-d.
When a person understands this truth he becomes responsible for his life.
People sometimes fall into victim hood, blaming all their sorrows on someone else or life circumstances. Hod shebe Netzach comes and teaches us something very different. H”S created every person with purpose, each person in this world has something precious to give. His makeup (personality, physical appearance, etc…) and his life circumstances are perfectly designed to help this person achieve what he needs to achieve.
When we recognize our responsibility towards H”S and the world we will be empowered to go and do what we need to do, and to be the person the world and H”S needs us to be.
We find that the most authentic people are the ones who step up to their plate and live up to their calling.
