Today is the 15th of Av, a very auspicious day in Jewish history.
It is considered a day of love.
In ancient Israel, it was a costume that on this day the daughters of Jerusalem would come out dressed in borrowed white dresses so no one would be embarrassed if they didn’t own beautiful garments and dance in the vineyards “and whoever didn’t have a wife would go there and find himself a bride”( Talmud, Taanit 31a).
