Today I enter a new stage in my life, today I turn 50.
50 is not 20,30 or 40. 50 is a whole new ball game.
The Sages teach that there are 50 gates of understanding. The only person in the world that was able to enter these fiftieth gate was Moshe Rabenu. He acquired 49 and just before his death H”S allowed him to acquire the 50th gate.
50 means to transcend and be free.
The last few months before reaching 50, I have been looking back at my life a lot. I have been very nostalgic lately about my wonderful childhood and the people who were part of it. I’ve been in awe to see how my life has turned out, and mostly I’ve been extremely thankful to H”S for this beautiful life, with all its ups and downs and everything in between that have molded me into the person I am today. For the people who are part of my journey and who in one way or another help me live a little higher.
But what I’ve come to treasure immensely is life itself. When you reach 50 life doesn’t seem so long anymore, the days go fast and the years too. Every day is a treasure that must be lived to its fullest.
Today I want to say Thank You H”S for paving the way, even in those moments that I felt you were not there, today I can say that You have been there all the way. Sometimes pushing me to the limit, sometimes guiding me, sometimes carrying me and sometimes quietly by my side.
Thank You for giving me life and thank You for recreating it at every instant. Thank You for trusting me and to allow me to trust in You.
