The first point of view …

By June 7, 2019 No Comments

The first point of view means that evil resonates with something in us that we identify as our own evil. Psychologists explain that a person would be incapable of committing something he is incapable of doing. If you see yourself as a scrupulously honest person you will not be tempted to steal. Your own self image will prevent you from falling. On the other hand, when a person views himself as a low life, he will be capable of doing low life actions.
What this Gemara is teaching us is that self worth is something very important in a person’s life. How he views himself will take him to be the best or the worst.
This is a good lesson on bolstering our child ability to fight his negative instincts.
We need to look at our children not as how they are, but who they can become. When we tap into their potential (not our dreams of who we want them to be) into their strengths, and we give importance to this we will for sure build up superstars who will shine their light in the world.
