Rabbi Warren Goldstein, …

By June 7, 2019 No Comments

Rabbi Warren Goldstein, the Chief Rabbi of South Africa, had a dream. He dreamed of having one Shabbat were every Jew in the world would keep. So on 2013 he began this grassroots project where in South Africa all the Jewish women and girls baked Challahs and everyone had guests for Shabbat meals. Everyone disconnected from the mundane for 25 hours and plugged into a different realm.
All through out the world this movement has gained momentum. Last night a there were thousands of Jewish Women baking Challa in unity at the Challah Bakes ( I personally experienced it in Lincon Square Sinagogue with around 400 women).
Tonight the Jewish world unites once again to keep Shabbat.
One man who had one dream and created a revolution, just as our forefather Abraham did 4000 years ago.
How beautiful to be united in joy and not in tears. May H”S bring blessings of Peace to the world in the merit of such an amazing Shabbat.
(P.S. Be part of this incredible experience. Shut your phones for 25 hours, eat a meal with your loved ones, spend quality time with your family, pray , rest and don’t worry.
Shabbat Shalom
