One of Yosef’s beautiful qualities was the way in which he treated others.
The Torah portion of “Vayeishev” is lengthy in its description of Yosef’s interactions. Specially the one with Pharaoh’s baker and wine chamberlain who were imprisoned with him.
Yosef perceived that one morning they had a sad face and inquired them about it.
He really felt for others and gave importance to everyone no matter who they were.
We never know how a smile, a kind word, or any kindness we show can really change someone’s life as in Yosef’s case he was remembered by the wine chamberlain later when the Pharaoh had two dreams and needed to be interpreted taking Yosef out of the dungeon and making him the Viceroy of Egypt.
As they say “people might forget what you say, but they will never forget how you make them feel.”
