Just because is special …

By June 7, 2019 No Comments

Just because is special because it transcends virtue. “Because he is my child I love him”, “Because he is my husband I love him…”
When you love someone “just because,” you can overcome many obstacles.
The Torah tells us to love our fellow as ourselves, irrespective of who they are and how they behave. It is easy to love and respect lovable and respectful people. But what about those who are rude, grumpy, and mean?
When we are able to tap with empathy and compassion into someone else load and struggles without judging and with a deeper understanding of their personality, upbringing, life, etc… we will be able to arouse in ourselves love towards even the least lovable people. You will be able to love not because the other person changed or is likable but because you yourself changed by tapping into a different reality and you touched his truth buried under layers of fears and insecurities.
