In this weeks Parasha “Vayeitze”, we are introduced to two sisters “Rachel and Leah”. They were the daughters of Laban( the brother of Rivka (the mother of Yaacov)). Leah was the older sister and she was predestined for Eisav, Yaacov’s older twin brother and Rachel was predestined for Yaacov. Leah was so upset that she had to marry the EVIL Eisav that she cried her heart out in prayer to H”S to change her destiny. From here we learn that prayer has such a power. Not only did Leah was able to change her destiny, but also the destiny of the Jewish people for she mothered six of the twelve tribes.
Never loose hope and never stop praying.
