I hope everyone had a meaningful and easy fast. So now what? After the tremendous work and preparation of Elul, then the high of Rosh Hashana and Yom Kipur and today nothing? Today we begin the four day count down to Sukkot. Rosh Hashana is compared to the engagement party between us and G-d, Yom Kipur is the wedding and Sukkot is the Sheva Berachot (seven days of festivities after a Jewish wedding were the bride and groom are blessed every day).
So today we are getting ready to celebrate by building our Sukka (hut). After such awesome days filled with reverence and humility now we celebrate.
