Hello and welcome to …

Hello and welcome to “Battle Thursday’s!” The day in which we build up our strength against our Yetzer Hara (Evil Inclination).
As we speak, we should all be preparing for Pesach (Passover) .The cleaning we do is part of the preparation to get to the two seders and eight days of Pesach is crucial and as important as the holiday itself.
Every Jewish Holiday contains in itself a special power that is given to us at that specific time so we can get through the year. Let’s call it a spiritual shot.
Pesach contains the power to help us manage and control our evil inclination, which is fed by our ego. This is the true formula to live a happy life. The more ego, the less joy.
In Pesach we don’t eat any leavened food like bread, pasta, or anything else that rises. We eat a special food called matzah, which is flat and it’s not fermented.
These eight days of this special diet helps us become more humble and less haughty. So the more careful you are in Pesach the more control you’ll have over your “Yetzer Hara.”
While cleaning and preparing for Pesach keep in mind that dust is not “Hametz” (leavened food) and your family is not the “Korban Pesach “ (Pascual Sacrifice). It is NOT spring cleaning!!! Many become overwhelmed because they decide to clean their closets and get rid of stuff they don’t need anymore. Concentrate in getting rid of the hametz. Look in your handbags, drawers, pockets, or any place it can be. While searching for the physical hametz search inside of you too for the spiritual hametz and get rid of it.
B”H when you get to your Pesach Seder you will feel sooo good, much lighter and content.
