At the beginning of Par …

At the beginning of Parasha “Vayeira” H”S sends three angels to come to Abraham. The Angel Michael, who came to give him and Sarah the good news that they would have a son and to name him Yitzchak; the Angel Raphael, came to bring refuah (healing) to Abraham after he had done the circumcision; and the Angel Gabriel, who came to inform them of the imminent destruction of Sodom and Gemora.
Why couldn’t G-d send one angel to do these three things? As a matter of fact, angels can’t multitask, they are created with a specific mission and they can’t do anything different. Human Beings on the other hand, come to this world to also fulfill the purpose for which we are created, but there is one huge difference and that is that we have “free will,” we can’t be forced in fulfilling our purpose. We must choose to want to attach to H”S and fulfill the mitzvots.
It is up to us to refine the world around us and to reveal H”S in the world by “running away from evil to run and go and do good.”
Because of this, no angel can ever come to achieve what a simple human being can.
Angels go with their nature, humans go against their nature and this makes us much greater.
