Abraham Avinu personified “Chesed” Kindness. He gave to everyone with his whole being without measuring if the person deserved it or not. His whole life was dedicated to helping others connect to G-d. His biggest pleasure was inviting travelers to his tent and giving them food and something to drink.
With every word you say and with each action you take, you answer an important question.”What kind of person are you?” Are you a giver or a taker?
When you see someone in need, do you make an effort to help or be there for support, or do you look the other way?
These are important questions to ask ourselves.
The next question is:” what type of person do you want to be?”
So if the answer is ” I’m kind” then you could ask “can I be kinder?” And the answer is “there is no limit to kindness” because “Chesed” is one of G-d’s attributes and when we tap into it it’s infinite just as H”S is.
When you go beyond the ordinary to help another person you become an extraordinary person.
To be kind you just need to act kind in your thoughts, speech, and actions and then you become what you act on.
Let’s begin a revolution of kindness just as Abraham Avinu did and let’s see how we can change the world beginning with the people closest to us and you will see how they too will begin to be kinder because kindness is contagious!
