A beautiful lesson taug …

A beautiful lesson taught to us in this Parasha of “Vayeitzei” by our foremother Leah is when she gives birth to her fourth child and she calls him “Yehudah” (thanks to G-d). Rashi explains that she gave him this name because she realized that H”S had given her more than what she should of been given. Leah was the first person to show G-d this type of gratitude.
If we live our lives not expecting anything and with no sense of entitlement we will always feel blessed and loved by H”S.
The problem of a lack of joy in life comes when we asume that things should be a certain way and we deserve this and that.
But if we don’t asume we deserve this and that and on the other hand everything we do have makes us feel that it comes to us because of H”S kindness towards us as a gift or a loan then we will never take anything for granted and we will be able to appreciate everything we do have and where it comes from with much gratitude and awe to H”S.
When a son is grateful to his father because of everything he gives him, the father will always be happy to give more to the son. But if the father gives a toy to his son and the minute they walk out of the store the son complains and cries because he wanted more, the father won’t take him again to the store.
