Purim is a day in which we celebrate the miracle of our survival from a tyrannical government, one evil man who wanted to annihilate the Jewish people from the face of the world.
Sadly this phenomenon called “antisemitism” has been part of our life and Jewish history from the beginning of times.
Today once more, every day, we hear of unprecedented antisemitism in our midst.
Purim holds the secret to overcome this sickness. In the reading of the Megillah the name of G-d is nowhere to be seen. But in reality He is behind the scenes moving the props and at the end everything falls in to place. But the true heroes of the story are Queen Esther, Mordechai, and the Jewish people who do what has to be done. With self sacrifice, study of Torah, Teshuvah, and much courage at the end of the story we have a smooth landing and everything turns in our favor.
We should never despair and we should always feel secure and joyful in the knowledge that the King above is the One who rules, we just have to do our part and the rest is history.
