Yesterday while I was walking home with these beauties to adorn my Shabbat table, I noticed that most of the people walking near me would stop to look at them. They had an effect on babies, children, adults, elderly and even the dogs. The yellow of these flowers is mesmerizing and they just can’t go unnoticed. There were even some strangers that stopped to say hi and just look at them. I had never had this experience in my life. When I got home I started thinking what is it in these flowers that had such an effect?
YELLOW it’s always a happy color, it awakens in us a good feeling. We relate it to the sun and its warmth, it cheers up even the saddest person. B”H G-d gave me the gift yesterday to cheer people up. It is one of the most important Mitzvahs and it seemed surreal to me to have been able to bring so many smiles to others without even saying a joke. Next time you buy flowers think that the things that we so randomly do not only affect us but everyone around us.
