Why did G-d create a world and clothes the light of one’s Divine soul in a body that is animalistic and hides the inner light?
H”S introduced the Divine soul into the physical body in order to lift it up. It was not a descent of punishment. The whole purpose of the descent is the ascent and the raising up in order to make an elevation and achievement.
“Just as the miner is lowered into the depth of the earth to bring up the valuable ore, so is the Divine soul lowered into the body and its darkness to seek out precious stones and minerals in the animal being.”
