Two days left for Rosh Hashana!!!
By now we should already feel closer to H”S.
When we are working to build a relationship with someone we need to know what are the likes and dislikes of the other, so in this way we can do for the other what he/she likes and not do to them what he/she dislikes.
In a loving relationship there will be times when one will want to give up, but the other will say:”we can’t give up, we have to keep trying.
To love another unconditionally means that even if we give up, the love and caring for the other is still there.
On Rosh Hashana we are saying to H”S: “we haven’t left, we are still here and are willing to keep on trying.”
To love means “YOU I love,” it is not about me it is about you.
When we are willing to do for the other what makes them happy, and we are putting ourselves on the side then that should be our happiness too.
When we keep H”S Torah and Mitzvahs, this is exactly what we are doing. We are removing our desires and wants to give to G-d what He wants. And “when you make G-d’s will your will He will make His will your will.” At the end it will be one and the same, because when you are able to tap into this way of living you will realize that your essence is one with H”S and in reality there is nothing else.
