Today we count the 8th day of the Omer with “Chesed Shebe Gevura” (Love and Kindness Within Discipline).
As we already discussed Love is the bedrock of humanity, how the saying goes: “Love moves mountains.” But for love to be real and balanced it needs the component of discipline and boundaries. Gevura gives our love direction, respect, and focus.
“Chesed Shebe Gevura” is using our discipline and judgement only thinking about what is good for the other.
When our intention is to take the best out of the other and we are happy with their success then we really know what Love means.
