Today we count the 31st day of the Omer with “Tiferet She Be Hod” (Compassion in Humility).
Tiferet is beauty in every way. It’s a beauty that illuminates the world with mercy, empathy, balance and harmony. Hod is selflessness and to acknowledge our very special place in the world and live with a sense of purpose and meaning.
In this week’s Parashah “Emor” we are commanded to count the Omer “and you shall count from the day after the day of rest, from the day that you brought the waving Omer, seven complete weeks they shall be.” (Vayikra 23:15).
The Torah gives us the Mitzvah to count the Omer. H”S in His immense mercy gives us the guide to refine ourselves, He does it with His infinite love for us. It comes completely from a place of Compassion and Beauty.
The more we appreciate the Torah and it’s Mitzvahs the more we will want to learn and follow and we will derive enormous love and pleasure from it. The 49 days of the counting of the Omer should reawaken in us this love that sometimes lies dormant and this is the only thing we have to do.
The 7 emotional attributes and their combinations that we count comprise the traits and attributes that make up a complete person.
So when we are given the opportunity to learn or do kindness we should feel as if this is our wealth which we are eager to accomplish.
Shabbat Shalom❤️
