Today we count the 17 th day of the Omer with “Tiferet She Be Tiferet” (Compassion in Compassion).
We already have worked the first two weeks of the Omer with Chesed (Kindness) and Gevurah (Discipline). Kindness is to give to anyone not caring if someone deserves it or even need it; you give because you are giving person. Gevurah is to give if the other deserves and it’s the right thing to do. This week the Sefira of Tiferet (compassion) shows us the aspect of giving even if the other doesn’t deserve it, but we give because it is what the recipient needs.
H”S created the world with compassion and wisdom. He gives us the Shabbat to all regardless if we deserve it or not. He gives it to us because He cares about us and it’s good for us. It is the way in which we can reach out to Him in contemplation and complete Joy.
