Today we count 16 years since that fateful day 9/11/2001 in which more than 3000 people passed away, leaving parents, spouses, orphans, bereaved friends, family and a whole nation mourning.
Sixteen years have gone by and not much has changed. The world has become an even more dangerous place full of extreme ideologies, cyber attacks, intolerance, hatred, selfishness and much more.
On the other hand many did change their lives for the best. Many people became kinder, more loving, tolerant of others, more connected to G-d, grateful and peaceful.
How did 9/11 change you? Are you the same person as 16 years ago?
To commemorate an event like this is to take the energy of the day and use it for the good.
We are ten days short of Rosh Hashanah, the day in which we coronate once more H”S as our King, it is a day in which we also celebrate the birthday of Men and we remember why we are here, what is our purpose and mission? How can we become better this upcoming year?
When we are able to bring good out of the imaginable in a certain way it will give us comfort and strength to continue dreaming about the future and it will allow us to move forward. In this way good will always prevail.
To all the victims know that your parting was not in vain, we will never forget.
