Today we begin the last week of the counting of the Omer with the Sefira of “Malchut” (Kingship). Today is the 43rd day of the Omer with “Chesed She Be Malchut” (Kindness in Kingship).
Malchut is different from the other six emotional attributes or sefirot because it focuses not on one aspect but on the totality. The Kabbalah explains the first six are masculine, providing sparks of energy, but Malchut is feminine and allows the other six to develop. The first six (Chesed, Gevurah, Tiferet, Netzach, Hod, and Yesod) give, while Malchut receives.
“Chesed She Be Malchut” teaches us that although compared to the totality of the existence a person is just a tiny speck in the whole creation, nevertheless G-d in His infinite Kindness makes us know that each tiny part in reality has a huge and vital role to play in His Kingdom; every action, word we say, and even our thoughts are significant. As a matter of fact H”S hasn’t made two identical creations, as similar as one can be to another they will never be the same because each one has a different purpose. A jigsaw puzzle may have thousands of pieces, but non are the same and if one is missing the whole puzzle is incomplete. Similarly every person is a key piece in G-d’s world and has his own special purpose and mission to complete.
Try today and everyday to recognize the value of people, even the garbage man makes your life more pleasant and the world cleaner, even though to the naked eye he would seem insignificant in the grander scale he is immense.
