Today is “Battle Thursday’s,” the day in which we gain the tools to fight our Yetzer Hara (evil inclination).
Stop and think for one moment why do you do the things you do?
Why do you work? Why do you eat? Why do you go on vacations? Why, why, why?
Three letters that make a big difference.
Intention can change everything. The awareness of why we do the things we do will enable you to operate in a very different way. Two people can be doing the same thing to the bare eye, but their intent in their actions will bring a complete different outcome.
If a person wakes up, goes to work all day and his intention is to make a living, not asking himself if he enjoys his job? Is very different from a person who goes to work every day to be able to serve H”S through his work, by being kind to others, being righteous with money, wanting to give his family a comfortable life, etc… The second person will work very differently from the first. His Yetzer Hatov (good inclination)will rule over the Yetzer Hara making his life a more purposeful and meaningful one.
