Today is a very sad day …

Today is a very sad day for Israel and the Jewish People. Today is Yom HaZikaron, the day in which Israel comes to standstill and mourns 23,741 soldiers killed and 3,150 victims killed to terrorism, this week four new names were added to this list, since the State of Israel was reestablished in 1948.
Too many loses, too many parents left without their child, too many children left without a parent. In Israel everyone has lost someone to this cause. In other places of the world an 18 year old is thinking about college and parties. In Israel an 18 year old is drafted to the army.
It is not a coincidence that today, the 3rd of Iyar, we count the 18th day of the Omer with “Netzach shebe Tiferet” (Endurance/Eternity within Mercy), the perfect definition of the Jewish people and the Jewish Nation.
The main beauty of this duo is the ability to withstand all tests and challenges. Am Israel Chai!!! The Jewish people live and will continue to live because no matter what we don’t give up. We don’t only have resilience but we are a compassionate and merciful people.
The IDF is the most humane and compassionate army, before they have to attack they send leaflets and knock knock bombs (not real bombs, they only make noise) to let the Palestinian people know that they should leave that certain target, so they won’t be harmed. What other army in the world does this? And what do we have in return? Hatred from the rest of the world. My dear Israel, we don’t stand alone because our Father in heaven takes care of us and has promised us that one day we will all come to live in our beloved land in complete peace and harmony, until then, we must continue to never give up!
In memory of all those who we have lost #countingoftheomer #israel #idf #nevergiveup
