This weeks Parashah Beshalach, which means “when he sent forth”, referring to how Pharaoh urged the Jewish people to leave Egypt after the devastating final plague of the death of the first born.
The Jewish people left 210 years of enslavement in blink of an eye.
Only 20% of the Jews left Egypt, the other 80% died in the plague of darkness because they were scared to leave. The whole purpose of the Jews being slaves was so H”S could show the world His power and take the Jews to Mt Sion and give them His Torah. If someone didn’t want to come his whole purpose of existence was obliterated and that is why most of them didn’t make it.
From here we learn that we should not fear life. Every opportunity of growth and change takes courage and resolution. Just live your life in a way in which you do what you have to do.
