This week’s Paras …

By June 7, 2019 No Comments

This week’s Parasha “Vayshlach” (Yaakov sent ), relates de tremendous struggles that Yaakov our forefather had to endure on his way back to the land of Israel.
It begins when he hears his brother Eisav is on his way to confront him, he then has to struggle against Eisav’s angel, his daughter Dina is kidnapped and raped by The prince of Shechem, and his beloved wife Rachel passes away giving birth to Benjamin. This is without talking about his previous and later ordeals. We could say that from all our forefathers Yaakov had a very difficult life, nevertheless he was the one that produced the 12 tribes and the Jewish people.
His whole life was the recipe of the creation of the twelve tribes.
Suffering is not in vain, when we have to go through turbulent times in our personal lives or as a community and nation what really is happening is that the extra virgin drop is being extracted from us. The best of us is yet to come! So look at life as a production of very rare and flawless diamonds that are meant to shine forever.
