This week we read the Parashah of “Vezot Haberachah” ( This is the blessing), introduces Moses final blessing to the Jewish people.
Our sages make an allusion between Jacob and Moses before their deaths, the difference is that Jacob was a father who blessed his children and Moses was a leader who blessed his people, which he felt as his children.
It was only when Moses was dying that G-d granted him the fiftieth gate of understanding, which is the greatest level of Divine consciousness and can only be given to us by H”S.Moses was deserving of such a gift because he remained the Shepard of his people till the last moment and he was willing to give everything up for them. Something of this Divine consciousness has been transmitted to us as well. Similarly by showing Moses the future, G-d endowed us, through him, with the vision to fulfill our Divine mission and destiny and to transform our lives and the world at large Into G-d’s ultimate home.
This is the message in which we finish the Torah and are ready to begin again in Simchat Torah.
The last letter of the Torah is a lamed from the word “Yisrael”and we begin with the bet in “Bereshit”, when we put them together it spells “Lev” which means heart and as Chassidut explains “the begginin is wedged in the end” everything is a full circle and what H”S wants from us is our heart❤️️ that everything we do for Him should be full of passion and love.
“Hazak Hazak Venithazek” ( be strong be strong and may you be strengthened).
