This week we read Paras …

This week we read Parasha “Tzav” (commanded),
One of the verses we read says:”This is the law of the Burnt-Offering.”(Vayikra 6:2)
This verse could be understood as “This is the principal of the arrogant person.” An arrogant person, the one who looks at himself as an exalted person (haolah). He constantly demands “this.” He always wants things to be done his way never taking into consideration what are the needs of others.
This type of person says:”it’s either my way or no way.” Causing much pain and anguish to those around him.
From here we learn how important it is to open space in our hearts for others. We need to learn to be empathetic and look at others views from their perspective. When you take others needs into consideration you gain much more than what you loose.
This days, specially before Pesach we need to get rid of this very bad Mida called “arrogance,” which comes from our inflated Ego and bad inclination.
Learn to let go for the sake of peace and you will see how everything turns around opening channels of blessings and miracles.
