This week we are still walking with our forefather Abraham and there is a very big lesson he teaches us in our relationships with others. His nephew Lot, who lived with him, was not so righteous as his uncle. When he would take out his sheep to pasture he wouldn’t care where they took the grass from, he would not be careful about his sheep eating from a private property. Abraham didn’t like this, for this is considered stealing, so he told his nephew Lot that they could not live together anymore. Without fighting he said to him “choose where you want to live, if you go to the left I will go to the right and vise versa”. This is a big lesson for us. We don’t need to be stuck in unhealthy and toxic relationships. With kindness and respect we can always move apart.
