This might sound funny but it is so true. I personally have felt physical pain before I was 40 and have learned a lot about it and myself.
Pain is a blessing, pain is an alarm that tells us that something is wrong. If we wouldn’t have pain we would never know that something needs attention. When we don’t feel a discomfort either physically, mentally or spiritually something is very wrong. It means that there is such a disconnect that you don’t feel any more the need to fix, grow and change for the better.
Our sages teach us that physical ailments are rooted in our soul. Once the pain comes out its a result of a spiritual malady.
In the times of the Temples a person would get sick and go to the sages and they could pin point in which mitzvah they were lacking and what needed to be corrected. Sadly in our times we don’t have this level of prophesy and we have no way of knowing exactly where the pain is rooted.
But don’t despair, if you are a constant searcher of the truth you will be able to get through it.
One thing is for sure, never stop moving. When we feel pain, we tend to stay still. The fear will paralyze us.
In a physical level I have been able to prove this. The more I move the better I feel. In a spiritual level it is the same. Keep learning, keep doing, keep growing. Never let yourself become stagnant for that is like being dead.
