This are some teachings …

This are some teachings of Rebbetzin Henny Machlis z”l a woman of valor who dedicated her life to give love to everyone no matter his or her circumstance.
“Everybody should know that they have to work on to make themselves a better oveid H”S (servant of G-d).They have to do an exercise even just one minute a day.”
This holy woman was constantly working on her character traits. “For one minute a day I say thank you to HaKadosh Baruch Hu.
I chose this exercise because the Chovos HaLevovos (Duties of the Heart “ says: ‘you are either in the being mode or in the wanting mode.’ So wanting means ‘I need that dress, those shoes, I need to do well in school, I need… The being mode is Thank you H”S.’ So for one minute a day I say thank You. And all kinds of thing come up: Thank You there is a bus stop and a train stop near my house. Thank You for the food, Thank You for wonderful friends, Thank You.”
Shabbat is a day in which we are 100% in our being mode. Our needs disappear and instead we just rejoice in being in the moment acknowledging all the good we have.
