Shavuah Tov!! Wishing everyone a Joyous week. This week is a very Joyous week because we walk with our forefather Abraham.
Abraham was the first person to recognize that H”S is everything and everything is H”S.
G-d told Abraham “Lech Lecha” (“go away from your land, your birthplace and your father’s house”( Bereshit 12:1))
What H”S was asking of Abraham is to “go for yourself.”
“From your land”:Go away from your worldliness, from your physical desires.
“From your birthplace”: don’t do Mitzvahs by rote.
“From your father’s house”: don’t rationalize why you do what you do, don’t be a wise guy. In Chassidic thought “wisdom” is the father.
“To the land which I will show you”: when we know that wherever we are is where H”S wants us to be at that moment and it’s not random we will come to let go and let G-d and on the way find ourselves.
