Shavuah Tov! Wishing everyone a good end and beginning of the Jewish Year!
Four days left for Rosh Hashana!!! As compassionate as you may be now you can always be more compassionate. As every other good character trait that we cultivate it can grow and grow with no limits, that is the beauty of expansion.
Don’t think that compassion is a contradiction of justice, we have to be balanced and be able to see things for what they are “good is good and evil is evil.” Compassion means that we can feel empathy towards someone else. It’s remembering that as imperfect someone else is on the outside, deep inside there is a Divine spark.
When we feel compassion for someone else we will be able to transcend our comfort zone for someone else who needs help.
Today try to do something that requires effort for someone in need, it can be a phone call, a visit, a favor, a prayer.
Let’s become better than better.
