Today we count the fifth day of the Omer “Hod She be Chesed” (Humility in Kindness)
The ultimate humility is when we recognize H”S Chesed towards us. When we come to appreciate that everything we have and are comes from Him we can begin to truly live. Just looking at the different fruits and vegetables (colors, textures, tastes, shapes,etc…) He has created for our delight, only so we can have pleasure is amazing. He could of just made us like the cel phone with a plug so we could recharge ourselves. But that is not the case, H”S wants us to know that He cares and loves us.
We should emulate H”S ways and realize that everyone around us is here to complete us in a certain way, just as those fruits and vegetables come to make our lives more complete, let’s acknowledge that our lives have been improved by the kindness of others and that we too can improve others lives by doing kindness to them.
“We don’t stand alone, we complete each other.”
