Shavuah Tov! Wishing everyone a blessed week.
We learn in proverbs that “Man’s soul is a lamp of G-d.”
The soul is part of and is connected with G-d. However, in order to enjoy the great benefits of it, the correct “switch” must be found
or the proper “button” pushed.
It was the Ba’al Shem Tov’s (founder of Chassidic movement)mission to explain and proclaim that everyone without exception is connected with G-d, and that everyone of them has a switch inside, which, if searched for will be found.
And this message is conveyed in this week’s Parasha “Beha’alos’cha”
(Fire Up), where G-d instructs Aharon to “fire up” the lamps. Firing up the lamps represents finding the “switch”or “button”within every Jew. This was Aharon’s mission, to ignite the fiery love of G-d in every Jew, which lies dormant in the soul. And Aharon the Priest represents the Jewish leaders of every generation who are empowered by G-d with special talents to find the “switch” in every Jew and help him become connected with his own internal “powerhouse.” And once it’s ignited this new light becomes a new powerhouse to ignite someone else.
