Shavuah Tov! Wishing everyone a blessed week.
The Pesach Seder is all about the questions. We ask about Who,Why,What, and How we were let out of Egypt. At the end, every questions brings us to the same answer: “G-d”
Jewish people are inquisitive people, we like to ask. We are not convinced unless we search and search for the answer. This is why we are known as “the people of the book.”
H”S wants us to ask, to search for him. He wants us to have a relationship with Him but because we choose to. It’s up to us to want to let Him in.
All these driving questions in the Seder are designed to take us there by our own initiative.
A young musician on a spiritual quest once approached the Rebbe as he was getting out of his car in front of 770.
“I have a question, he explained in Yiddish.
“What is it?” Asked the Rebbe.
“Where is G-d?” He asked.
“Everywhere,” The Rebbe replied.
“I know,” the young man continued, “but where?”
“In everything and in every place,” said the Rebbe, “in a tree, in a stone…”
The young man persisted, “I know, but where?”
“In your heart-if that’s how your asking.”
