Shavuah Tov!!! Wishing …

Shavuah Tov!!! Wishing everyone a blessed and bright week.
In this week’s Parashah “Vayeitzei”, we learn a very important concept about prayer. On the way to Aram, Jacob vowed, “if G-d will be with me and protect me on this journey that I’m undertaking, and will provide me with BREAD TO EAT and CLOTHING TO WEAR, returning me to my father’s house untainted.”(Bereshit 28:10)
When praying for something it is very important to specify why you need it. Many people can have a lot of food in their fridge, but sadly might not be able to eat it. They can also have tons of clothes in the closet, but again might not be able to wear it. It is also important to show gratitude for all the blessings H”S has given us first.
We must always look for a higher reason of why we need the things we need. When praying for food, we must acknowledge that the food we eat gives us the energy to be able to fulfill the purpose for which we were created. Clothes, shelter us from the outside elements and give us dignity.
May the food we eat and the clothes we wear bring us closer to our Creator.
