Today most of the world celebrates Father’s Day. Although everyday should be Father’s Day, today we are reminded of the great role a father is endowed with.
Kabbalah teaches us that the father is the one that clothes the soul of the baby at the time of conception. The father’s thoughts and intentions at that moment determine the way in which this new person will relate to the world in thought, speech, and action. Even before the baby is brought to the world, a father has a huge impact in his son or daughters life. These three garments are called this way because even though our way of thinking, talking, and acting is wired in a certain way we still have the capacity to control it and change it the same as we can do with our physical clothes.
A father is someone who gives us that first impression of awe and respect, this two feelings are the ones who need to be implanted in our children at an early age in order for them to have them towards H”S.
A healthy father/child relationship will give the child the trust he needs to live life in a wholesome way.
A father gives us a floor, a feeling that no matter what, there is someone holding and looking after us.
The lessons learned from our father’s are treasures to be kept and G-d willing shared with those who come after us.
Happy Father Day to all those father’s who take care of their families with so much love, dedication, and sacrifice you are always appreciated and forever loved.
