Rosh Chodesh Tov!!! May the new month of Iyar bring healing to all those who need it and send open and revealed good to everyone.
Today we begin counting week three of the Omer with the Sefira of “Tiferet” (Compassion). Tiferet is the perfect blend of Chessed (Kindness) and Gevurah (Discipline). Today we count the 15th day of the Omer with “Chesed She be Tiferet.”
In this week’s Torah portion of Tazria we are introduced to a spiritual malady called Tzara’as that occurred in the anscient times of the Mishkan and Temples. A person would be afflicted with white spots on their skin, like a type of leprosy. It was very shameful for the person who got it and this would happen because this person had done “Lashon Hara” (evil speech). The person who would take care of this Tzara’as sufferer was none other than the Kohen Gadol (high priest). The Kohen Gadol was someone infused with immense compassion and kindness towards others. He would not judge and his rebuke came from a place of love and concern for the person suffering. His whole purpose was to help the person get back to his heightened spiritual place.
When we rebuke others let’s make sure it comes from a place of compassion, love and well being for the other❤️for “he who saves a life,it is considered as if he saved the entire world.” It can be physically , emotionally or spiritually.
