And Shabbat Shalom
Tonight we begin the new month of Nissan,the word “Nissan comes from the word “Ness” which means miracle.
Nissan is the time of our exodus from Egypt, our freedom from slavery. Through a leap of faith, we left Egypt in a split of a second and followed H”S into the Sinai desert. Not knowing where we were going to sleep or eat.
Our Exodus from Egypt was not simply a historical event in human history but a cosmic phenomena which occurs the same time every year. Our Hebrew calendar is not linear it is circular, the same energy that was experienced in the time of the Exodus we relieve every year at the time of Pesach.
Our challenge is to believe that both the conditions of slavery and freedom as mutual being rooted in Divine love. H”S sometimes has to do things He hates in order to allow us to know what He loves.
He put us into slavery so we could know what freedom means.
We just need to take the leap of faith to believe so the sea can part for us and we can experience what a great miracle our whole existence is.
