“On six days, work may be done, but on the seventh day shall be holly for you.”-Vayak’hel (35:2)
Hazal (our sages) teach that a person who waits a whole week for Shabbat,who yearns for the moment when he will be able to sanctify his endeavor, not only consecrates the Shabbat, but also elevated his mundane workweek and sanctifies it. The one that keeps Shabbat shows that he values his weekdays.
