In this week’s Parash …

In this week’s Parashah “Mikeitz”(At the end), Pharaoh has a prophetic dream: “And behold from the Nile rose up seven cows which looked good and healthy of flesh and they grazed in the pasture.”(Bereshit 41:2)
Rashi comments that their looking good was sign of the years of plenty, for them people look good to one another and are not envious of each other.
This is a fundamental idea to our Simcha in life. If you learn to appreciate what you have to it’s fullest, you will be so filled with good feelings yourself that your eyes won’t be wondering and looking at what you are missing. For “what the eyes see, the heart wants.”
The more you focus on the blessings that H”S has endowed you with, the less it’s going to make a difference to you what other people have. Not only that, but on a higher level, you will be happy for them too and this is the biggest vessel you can create to have more blessings coming your way.
