I found this quote and it took me back 35 years to my Nani’s (grandmother) apartment in Bogota, Colombia. She had this saying hanging on her wall nicely framed and she lived by every word of it. She was an incredible person who went through incredible hardships beginning with leaving her comfortable life in Syria, loosing her mom at a very early age, having to deal with an evil stepmother, getting married very young and having to work very hard to help raise her four sons after becoming a young widow. Regardless of all these turmoil she was able to bring up a beautiful and happy family. She would never complain, she was a doer and a warrior at heart, she cooked the most delicious food and above all she had the most beautiful smile!
