H”S created the world so He could bestow His goodness. What’s goodness good for if you can’t give it to someone?
So He created mitzvots (commandments)so we could be the recipients of that goodness.
613 of them!!! And we are commanded to keep them. Some would wonder, isn’t He asking too much of us? Does He really care if we keep them or not?
The answer is yes.
The Mitzvah is a connection to H”S, and this we choose by our own free will if we want to connect or not.
When we do a Mitzvah H”S is giving us the opportunity to have the privilege to enter into His world of goodness, not only we are given the privilege to receive, but at the same time we are given the opportunity to give and He gives us so many of them so at every corner we turn we have one more opportunity to bask in His goodness.
