During the Passover Sed …

By June 7, 2019 No Comments

During the Passover Seder we recount the plight of the Israelites as slaves in ancient Egypt, and we celebrate their liberation. However, although we might think the Seder is a story of the past, in truth it is as relevant to us today in 2018 (5778) as it was more than three thousand years ago.
Every aspect of the Seder, the three Matzahs, the six food items, the plate itself, the four cups of wine, and the festive meal are a framework for achieving personal freedom from the negative practices that hold us back from achieving our G-d given potentials.
When we relieve the whole story again and again, year after year, we are resetting ourselves to tap into that internal place called “Essence,” which is the one that gives us the power and capacity to break the chains of bondage that are keeping us away from our freedom.
