Certainly life and death are linked. Had this person not been born he would not have died. How can we come to discover the purpose of death without first confronting the purpose of life?
The question is not “why do we die?” The real question to ask ourselves is “why do we live?”
It took me many many years of searching to be able to answer this question.
A true life of meaning and purpose with G-d in your life will give you the answer. This world is not the destination, it is the road that takes us eventually to were we need to go.
It is the life you make here that will eventually give you life even when you move on.
