Around twelve years ago …

Around twelve years ago, my husband and I had become more religious. Our children were still in a more traditional Jewish day school and I didn’t know what to do. We came to the Ohel (resting place of the Lubavitcher Rebbe Menachem Mendel Schneerson) and my husband and I each wrote a letter to be read at his caver. In the Ohel there are a few televisions that show encounters of the Rebbe and people he counseled and also some of his discourses. Incredibly my husband was asking in his letter for help in a business situation he had at that time and I was writing asking some light in what to do with my children’s school. If I should move them to a more religious school? At the same time in the TV there was a couple from Brazil in which the husband asked The Rebbe about his business situation, which The Rebbe answered not to worry, he would be more successful than he thinks. To make a note, my husbands problem was in Brazil. Then the wife asked The Rebbe the same question I was writing about and they were also becoming more religious and didn’t know what to do with their children’s school, to which The Rebbe answered:”Don’t worry so much about your children, worry more about yourself. In the way you choose to go, they will follow.”
This is exactly what I did and this is exactly what happened B”H.
Today, the 3rd of Tammuz, is the Anniversary of the passing of The Rebbe OBM. All the light he planted in this world: his teachings, good deeds, and everything in which he invested his life and being shines even more.
It is auspicious to give tzedakah, learn Torah, and pray for your needs or others in his merit, and may H”S answer us.
The sages teach that when a Tzadik passes away he has more influence in the world that when he was alive. It’s been 24 years since his passing and his teachings and support are felt today throughout the whole world.
